T Magazine :: International and Online Editions

Here at Fashion-Fox, we reference and link to the New York Times, and its sister publication, The International Herald Tribune, quite frequently.  They have covered style with immense talent for decades; we wanted to take a second to acknowledge all their hard work and dedication to the subject of fashion.

The International Herald Tribune is a familiar read to any English-speaking person who has traveled abroad to a non-English speaking country.  It's chief fashion editor, Suzy Menkes, is a formidable part of the fashion scene in Paris, Milan, and New York.  Which is why it comes as no surprise that the paper has recently started to distribute T, a style magazine, that has already been a companion of the New York Times for three years.

tmagazine.pngThe way they've presented it on their website is this: "T The International Herald Tribune Style Magazine appears eight times a year with the IHT. Inspired by the NYT edition of T, it mixes lively articles focusing on the trends, products, people and places making waves in the world of style, with stimulating and engaging longer features – all tailored for a discerning international audience. Exclusive columns from acclaimed IHT journalists Suzy Menkes and Alice Rawsthorn make T the must-read magazine for the upscale, sophisticated readers of the weekend IHT."

The launch of this international edition coincided with the launch of the companion site to the T magazine which can be found at either IHT.com/Tmagazine or nytimes.com/Tmagazine.  The online site will feature a fashion and style news blog called The Moment and will also include  flash-based interactive content and original videos.

I like the design of the magazine and of the site, but was expecting more content, especially as the fashion articles in the Herald Tribune are always very thorough, compelling, and well-researched.
