Fashion Internships :: Is "Fab Fashion" a Virtual Fashion Internship?
Fashion Internships :: Fab Fashion
In the world of fashion internships, you have to be a quick study. This mantra holds true in the game Fab Fashion, where you get to play Kate, a talented young fashion designer with big, big dreams. This game puts you in the drivers seat by delivering you straight to a designer's studio where you have very little time to prepare for your very first fashion show.
Each "session" begins with robed models that Kate must measure and then create couture for. A model might need accessories, or a visit with the hair stylist before her look is complete. As Kate, you will go through critiques of your outfits, and the chance to earn extra cash if you do a great job; your money can be spent to upgrade the machines in your studio, buying turntables or bottled water to keep your models happy, or investing in new patters so you can make even more elaborate and beautiful outfits as the game goes on. As an up-and-coming designer, where would you spend your money?
Just like the fashion industry, this game is fast paced and not for the faint of heart. It can get hectic, and you're always running against a deadline. You have 120 garmet styles available for purchase, in 5 different color choices. 110 accessories, 18 different hairstyles, and 5 different model personalities to contend with. Getting bored with this game should not be a problem!
Fab Fashion gives you 48 levels of play and takes you through 8 different cities. Not only that, it gives you the opportunity to come up with hundreds of designs, and creates a scrapbook of your biggest accomplishments. Touted by gamezebo as "a budding fashionista's dream," we think Fab Fashion is a great "virtual" look into what fashion internships are actually like.
