Fashion 2.0 :: MyItThings Gives Future Fashion Designers a Shot to Wow Them

Starting earlier this week, MyItThings started a new fashion designing contest that will run through July 15th. If you’re an aspiring designer, you have the opportunity to submit 5 of your best designs.  You’re allowed to submit everything from sketches to model photos for the judges to view.  The only guideline?  Try to keep your designs to the spring and summer season.

Your submissions will be judged by a panel of your peers; the top 10 semi-finalists will be judged by the MyItThings panel of judges.

Three lucky finalists will be announced on August 1st; each finalist will be given $1500 and 2 months to create 5 looks for the spring/summer 2009 collection.  These finalists will be invited to New York to put on their very own runway show.

But, at the end of the day, only one person can be the big winner.  Choosen by a combination of user votes and the judging panel, this designer will get $5000 to product their own line to be featured on MyItThings!

So don’t snooze.  Get right to it and submit those designs - stat.
