According to a new study by Piper Jaffray, it seems that teen spending is on the decline, and they’ve said that it points to a “discretionary recession,” meaning teens are being more selective about what to use their play money on, largely due to the economy.  But a study by the Washington Post says that it might not be as much about the economy as it is about a change in attitudes.
