    The founder of Net-a-Porter is one clever gal.  Her site is incredibly successful and I know many a young French designers who are dying to get mentioned there.  She is also blessed with a knack for PR and she couldn't have proved it more than when it came to Roland Mouret's new dress, the now famous, "Moon Dress."
    At the time that Mouret planned to unveil his new creation, he had no distribution lined up.  Enter Net-a-Porter founder, Natalie Massenet, stage right.  She launched a pre-ordering initiative on her website in July only 24 hours after Mouret's Paris show. (…)

    When you're as big as Dior, you don't typically need to do much to increase online sales.  However, imagine for a minute that you are Dior, and that you're getting ready to roll out another variation of one of your most famous perfumes, Poison.  When you get buzz all the time, so how do you get a little extra, to focus on this new launch? 
    Christian Dior decided to do a few things
    First, they hired the latest "Bond Girl," who just happens to be Franco-British by birth.  Eva Green is a sexy, bilingual spokesperson for Dior's latest Poison spin-off, "Midnight Poison."  Looking dangerously attractive in the commercial, she is an excellent choice for this marketing campaign.  Coincidentally, she also happens to have a leading role in the new movie, "The Golden Compass," which just came out.     Fashion is a tricky business; especially if you’re a retailer trying to make an impression in the industry.  So, how do you get shoppers over to your site to take a look at what you have to offer?  You find out what they’re searching for. 
    Take a look at these keyword statistics based on a search of the term “fashion.”

    One thing stands out: while “fashion” is a popular stand-alone search term, it really only equals about 12% of the searches done on any given day. 
    To take these search results at face value, it would appear that there are a smaller number of people searching for the more specific content, but if you add it up, 9,079 (or 26%) of the daily searches were relative to something specific.  If you are hoping to increase your online sales specific to fashion, you must be specific about what you’re selling.
