Apparel Sale :: Where Have All the Traditions Gone?

Sale 2.pngIt seems that all those shoppers looking for the perfect apparel sale on Boxing Day just couldn't wait this year.  Surveys show that many folks looking for a bargain logged on Christmas Day to get some great deals ahead of the rush.

Christmas holidays used to be about sitting around with the family, lingering over tea and pie, gossiping about the neighbors……you all just didn't do it this year! You were shopping by Christmas evening!

So, what was popular?  Initial reports forcasted clothes, of course, as well as electronics like tv's and laptops.  A spokeswoman for M&S said the company was expecting at least 200,000 shoppers online Christmas day!

Over all, the extra push from Christmas Day shoppers pushed the overall 2006 numbers up over last years sales.  So, will this become a regular thing?  I think it's likely considering the accessibility of the Internet and how easy it is to just hop on and shop. It sure beats sitting around and watching the telly.
